Reports from county or village police, June 27-July 3
Certified checks in the amount of $1,500 and $600 were stolen from a woman's pocketbook at Pop's Pizza on Middle Country Road on July 2.
A groundhog was retrieved from a pool at a Triangle Lane residence and released by police June 29.
A 2001 Saturn parked in the McDonald's restaurant lot on Route 25 was reported stolen June 29.
Copper piping was reported stolen June 28 from an abandoned house on West Yaphank Road.
Cash and keys were stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked at a residence on Springmeadow Drive on June 28.
Items, including a briefcase, pocketbook, credit cards and a GPS unit, were reported missing June 28 from a 2008 Ford and a 2003 Volvo parked in a driveway on Carol Avenue.
A burglary was discovered June 29 at a storage barn on North Country Road. The barn door and an electric golf cart were reported damaged.
A man told police that he was robbed June 27 of his watch, ring and cash at knifepoint by two men on Hospital Road.
A woman told police that her pocketbook containing cash and credit cards was stolen from a shopping cart at the Stop and Shop supermarket on Montauk Highway on June 29. Police later arrested two Bay Shore woman, ages 30 and 39, and a Ronkonkoma man, 45, for their alleged involvement in the incident. They were charged with grand larceny, fourth degree.
A trailer located on Moony Pond Road was burglarized June 29. A DVD player and a cell phone were reported stolen.
A wallet was stolen from a shopping cart at the Pathmark supermarket on Montauk Highway June 28.
A chain saw, jumper cables, shears and fire hydrant were reported stolen June 29 from a truck parked at residence on Hounslow Road.
A speaker, headphones and an Xbox game were stolen July 3 from a locked vehicle parked on Elizabeth Drive.
A 2005 Harley-Davidson motorcycle valued at $45,000 was stolen from Oak Street on July 2.
