At its Aug. 25 meeting, the board:

Centereach: Granted Guy and Silvia Avino a minimum side-yard variance for proposed two-story residence addition, south side of Lehmann Avenue, east of Hammond Lane.

East Moriches: Granted Scott and Stacey Cooper minimum and total side-yard variances for proposed one-story residence addition and two-story residence addition with attached garage under, northeast corner of Maple Street and Atlantic Avenue. Also granted relief of Historic District Advisory Committee recommendation regarding siding of said additions (vinyl requested, wood shingles recommended).

Holtsville: Granted Stephen Sikorski a front-yard setback variance from Brian Avenue for existing roofed-over deck exceeding 4 feet by 8 feet permitted (11.5 feet by 16.1 feet); also, a height variance for existing 6-foot-high fence located in front yard (Brian Avenue), northeast corner of Division Street and Brian Avenue.

Patchogue: Granted James and Lisa D'Agostino rear-yard and side-yard variances for existing in-ground swimming pool, west side of Tremont Avenue, south of Woodside Avenue.

Selden: Granted Francisco Hernandez a side-yard variance for existing in-ground swimming pool not built in conformance with permit 091358659, west side of South Evergreen Drive, north of Inwood Avenue.

St. James: Granted Horia and Madalina Vlase a height variance for proposed 6-foot-high fence in front yard along property line, east side of Moriches Road, south of Von Hagen Avenue.

Stony Brook: Granted Martin Batey rear-yard and minimum and total side-yard variances for proposed one-story residence addition, west side of Pembrook Drive, north of Pensdale Court.
