At its June 9 meeting, the board:

Blue Point: Granted Frank and Sue Conte a front-yard setback variance for proposed roofed over porch exceeding the 4-by-8 feet permitted (7-by-18.8 feet); side-yard and rear-yard variances for proposed in-ground swimming pool; also, permission for proposed one-story and second-story residence additions on a 50-foot lot, east side of Division Avenue, north of Montauk Highway.

Holtsville: Granted Gulf/Cumberland Farms Inc. a height variance for proposed 25 feet high, 114.04 square feet digital ground sign (24 feet high, 24 square feet permitted); existing sign to be removed, southwest corner of L.I.E. South Service Road and North Ocean Avenue.

Lake Ronkonkoma: Granted Pet Supplies Plus (tenant) permission for five proposed wall signs (one permitted), one of which requires a height variance (18-feet high permitted - 25 feet high proposed) and exceeds the 80 square feet permitted (200 square feet), northwest corner of Portion and Cenacle roads.

Shirley: Granted Joseph Quinto and J&B Restaurant Partners front-yard setback and height variances for proposed 20 feet high - 48 square feet detached sign (12 feet high - 32 square feet permitted), south side of Montauk Highway, west of Versa Place.

At its June 23 meeting, the board:

Medford: Granted Sherri Hillenberg front-yard variances for existing one-story residence addition (conversion of porch to living space) and for existing deck exceeding 4-by-8 foot permitted (6-by-7 foot) located in front-yard, north side of Petty Lane, west of Swezey Road.

Port Jefferson Station: Granted Eager Beaver Car Wash a use variance for two proposed additions to existing car wash in a J-2 business zone (negative declaration under SEQRA issued - unlisted action), south side of Route 347, east of Terryville Road.
