Car vandalism, theft of camcorder
Nassau police and their Crime Stoppers department are looking for those responsible for vandalizing cars in Wantagh, Merrick and Bellmore between midnight and 6 a.m. on May 23. More than 80 vehicles were damaged, according to police. Police believe a dark-colored SUV may have been involved, and that a blunt object was used to damage the vehicles.
Suffolk police and their Crime Stoppers department are looking for a man they say stole a camcorder from an Islandia wholesale store.
At about 1 p.m. on Sept. 16, the man entered BJ's Wholesale Club on Old Nichols Road and took the camcorder. A surveillance photo was taken of the suspect.
