Centenarian: Angela Destefanis Poni

ANGELA DESTEFANIS PONI was born Oct. 8, 1906, in Brusnengo, Italy. She immigrated to America at 19 and married Adriano DeStefanis. They lived in Dunkirk and had two children, Alfred and Gloria. Angela was widowed in 1966. She moved to Astoria, where she lived for more than 60 years, and married Arrigo Poni (now deceased). She has eight grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She lives at The Regency in Glen Cove, where she enjoys playing bingo. She celebrated her 105th birthday there with family and friends.
