Centenarian: Annette Florio

ANNETTE FLORIO was born in Greenwich Village on Jan. 23, 1911. She married Dominic Florio in her early 20s and had three children, Fred and Gary (both now deceased) and Robert of Farmingdale. She worked for Lord & Taylor in Manhasset for many years before retiring to Florida in 1979. According to her family, she enjoyed sewing and was an excellent seamstress. She lives at White Oaks Nursing Home in Woodbury, where she enjoys attending recreation programs and visits with her family. She celebrated her 100th birthday there with family and friends.
