Centenarian: Bertha Walti, nee Walser

Bertha Walti, née Walser, was born Jan. 5, 1908, in Switzerland and immigrated to the United States at 18. She had two sisters and a brother. Bertha married John Walti, now deceased, in 1934, and had a daughter, Olga DeLamar. Bertha enjoyed traveling, reading, crocheting, cooking and baking. She is a member of the Swiss Benevolent Society in Manhattan. She has three grandchildren, Linda, Steven and Paul, and four great-grandchildren. She has lived at Little Flower for Rehabilitation & Nursing in East Islip for the past three years. She celebrated her birthday there at a party with family, friends and roommate, Jennie Pino.
