Carlo Jacob Gambale was born July 26, 1911, in Brooklyn. He was a Golden Gloves boxer. He attended Brown Business School for accounting. He spent his early career in manufacturing until 1966 when he went to work for the Federal Reserve Bank, retiring in 1976 as head cost accountant. On Sept. 11, 1939, he married Connie, bought a home in Brooklyn, and had two children, Freddy and Carlo. After retiring, they moved from Brooklyn to Mount Sinai. Carlo celebrated his birthday with family including grandchildren, Michele and Carlo, and five great-grandchildren.
