Centenarian: Catherine (Tillie) Depperman
CATHERINE (TILLIE) DEPPERMAN, born Oct. 8, 1910, in Canarsie, Brooklyn, is the oldest of five children born to Michael and Marie Barbara. She worked as a seamstress in Brooklyn before marrying Frank Depperman in 1948. They lived in Queens and in 1972 retired to Boca Raton, Fla. Tillie was widowed in 1986, and in 1999, she moved to Lindenhurst. Tillie's family includes two sisters (one is deceased), a sister-in-law, four nieces, five nephews, seven great-nieces, six great-nephews, four great-great nieces and three great-great-nephews. She lives at Our Lady of Consolation Nursing & Rehabilitative Care Center in West Islip where she celebrated her birthday with family and friends.
