Centenarian: Dot Greet of Southold
GRACE DOROTHY (DOT) GREET, née Struve, was born April 27, 1910, in Brooklyn. She attended Teachers Training School and worked for Brooklyn Union Gas Co. and St. Gabriel's Episcopal Church in Hollis. Dot married Bill Greet, a banker, in 1935. After retiring they moved to Southold. He is now deceased. Dot celebrated her 100th birthday at a luncheon with 100 guests at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Greenport given by the church and the Property Owners Association of Smith Drive North. Friends say Dot is devoted to her church, friends and Southold. When asked what she thought about turning 100, she replied, "I just can't believe how fast the time went!"
