Florence Selkin was born Sept. 18, 1913, in the Bronx. She married Abe Selkin and had a daughter, Linda. Florence was married for 71 years before being widowed. She served as New York Council President and National Membership Chairman of Pioneer Women (Na'amat) and later was an executive secretary for Ziff-Davis Publications. She has four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She celebrated her birthday with family and friends at Cafe Muscat and at the Middle Village Adult Center in Glendale. She lives in Woodhaven and enjoys spending time with family in Queens and Albertson.
