Centenarian: Frances DeSano Calendrille
Frances DeSano
Calendrille was born Aug. 25, 1911, in Brooklyn. She married Anthony Salvatore DeSano in 1932 and was widowed in 1960. They had four children, Rose and Marie (twins), Dolores and Anthony. They owned Tiny Town Juvenile Furniture & Toy Store in Brooklyn. Frances lived in Queens, Florida and Buffalo. She worked for many years for Gimbles Department Store in Valley Stream. Frances has 13 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren. In 1967 she married Lou Calendrille (now deceased) and lived in Queens and Florida. Frances celebrated her birthday with family and friends at the Franklin Garden Care Center in Franklin Square where she has lived since 2001.

Frances passed away Sept. 15. She is buried in St. Charles Cemetery in East Farmingdale next to her first husband, Anthony DeSano.
