Centenarian: Frances Katz
FRANCES KATZ, born July 12, 1906, in the Bronx, is one of seven children. She married Michael Katz in 1928, and in the 1940s they moved to Lawrence, where they raised three children, Lila and Stanley (now both deceased), and Alice. In the 1960s Frances and her husband moved to Manhattan. They retired in the late 1970s. Frances was married for 70 years before being widowed in 1999. She loved to travel and spend time with family. She lives at Huntington Hills Center for Health and Rehabilitation in Melville, where she enjoys visits from her family and participating in the facility's activities. She celebrated her birthday with a party there with family. Frances has five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
