Centenarian: Frieda Guzzo
Frieda Guzzo celebrated her 100th birthday with a party at the Babylon Beach House with family, friends, residents and staff. Frieda was born Dec. 10, 1910, in Brooklyn. She worked as a seamstress in the garment industry in Brooklyn and Manhattan before retiring at the age of 62. She married Barney Guzzo and had two children, Jean and Vito. Frieda was widowed in 1958. She lived in Lindenhurst before moving to the Babylon Beach House in 2003. Frieda enjoys music, movies, religious events, and spending time with family and friends. She has five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
