Centenarian: Helen Bellmar
Helen Bellmar, born Nov. 2, 1912, in Manhattan, is the sole survivor of four children. She moved to Astoria and then Glen Head. She worked for Western Electric-Bell Telephone Co., retiring at age 62. She was widowed twice, has five children, 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Helen celebrated her birthday attending a Mets game at Citi Field with family. Helen enjoys playing cards, especially bridge, and attending senior meetings at the Golden Ring Club of North Shore.
