Helen Dejewski was born Sept. 16, 1913, in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, where she met her husband, Leo, now deceased. She currently lives in Riverhead, where she enjoys reading, socializing, playing pinochle and watching "Dr. Phil" and "Judge Judy" on TV. She celebrated her birthday in Riverhead surrounded by family and friends who traveled from around the United States. Her four sons, 12 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren gifted her with written memories and cards, which were individually attached to a balloon. According to her family, Helen enjoyed her visit with friends and family and took all 100 balloons home.
