IDA GOLD was born in Russia in 1908. She immigrated to the United States in 1912 at the age of 4 and grew up in Brooklyn. She married Samuel Gold, had two sons and lived in Allentown, Pa. Ida was married for 58 years before being widowed in 1992. She has four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Ida volunteered with The Children of Israel for 25 years and with Emunah, another Jewish organization. She lives at the Gurwin Jewish -- Fay J. Lindner Residences in Commack where she celebrated her birthday with family, fellow residents and staff.
