Centenarian: James Murphy
James Murphy was born Aug. 29, 1910, in Cambridge, Mass. He married Helen Murphy, now deceased, and had 11 children. They lived in Amityville, Dix Hills and Huntington. James has 17 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. James lives alone in his home in Little Compton, R.I., where he is the oldest resident.
