Centenarian: Lillian Anderson
LILLIAN ANDERSON, born Sept. 10, 1911, in Brooklyn, is one of six children (all siblings are deceased). At 10, her family moved to Hicksville. Lillian was a secretary for Women's Wear Daily in Manhattan. She wed Francis Anderson and had three children, John, Bill and Joyce. She later became a Town of Oyster Bay secretary, retiring at 64. She enjoys baking, embroidery and card games. Lillian lives in Hicksville in the home she and her husband built in 1939. She celebrated her birthday at La Marmite in Williston Park. She has seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
