Lillian "Honey"

VandeWater was born Oct. 22, 1913, in Bushwick, Brooklyn. She had three brothers and one sister. Honey attended Hunter College. Her family moved to Hempstead, where she met Lawrence VandeWater (now deceased). They married in 1942 before his Marine Corps service in WWII and had two children, Lawrence Jr. and Nancy (now deceased). Honey has a daughter-in-law, Mary, two grandchildren and one great-grandson. She worked for Sperry Gyroscope during the war and later for Franklin National Bank. She retired after a long career with Buy Lines Press in Baldwin and lives in the Baldwin home where she raised her family. She enjoyed golf and knitting. Honey celebrated her birthday at home with family, friends and caregivers.
