Lilly Ann Perlmutter, née Gottlieb, was born Jan. 30, 1908, in Manhattan and grew up in Massachusetts. She graduated from Bryant Stratton Business School. She married Herman Perlmutter at 25 and was widowed after 57 years. She has a son, David, and daughter-in-law, Noreen, and two grandchildren, Daniel and Judith. She worked for many years at the Lighthouse for the Blind and the American Foundation for the Blind in Manhattan. She lives at Amber Court Assisted Living in Westbury, where she enjoys the activities, especially bingo. She celebrated her birthday there with a biker theme party and is looking forward to her first motorcycle ride in April.
