Centenarian: Marjorie Fischer
Marjorie Fischer, née Zundel, born April 29, 1911, to Margaret and Harry Zundel, is one of three children (two are now deceased). Marjorie married Chris Fischer in 1935 and had one son, Warren. She worked for the New York Telephone Co. for 18 years. She lived in Glendale, Queens, and after being widowed in 1970, she went to live with her sister, Mildred. Marjorie enjoyed dancing and entertaining with her whistling talent. She lives at Riverhead Care Center. She celebrated her birthday there with family and friends. She attributes her longevity to "loving people and love of family." She has two grandchildren, Christopher and Andrea, and one great-grandchild, Nevaeh.
