Mary Marchione was born Feb. 8, 1910, in Sciacca, Sicily, and grew up on Manhattan's Lower East Side. She was one of eight children born to Italian immigrants. She married John Marchione in 1932 and had two daughters, Teresa Otten of Deer Park and Diana Cosenza of Wantagh. She worked as a seamstress for many years. She has seven grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Mary lives with her family in Deer Park, where she enjoys watching the Food Network and her favorite soap operas "One Life to Live" and General Hospital."
