Centenarian: Mary Victoria Coco

Mary Victoria Coco was born July 19, 1913, in Manhattan, to Mary and Michael Lospinuso. In 1939 she married Santi Vincent Coco. She was widowed in 1972 after 33 years of marriage. In 1974 Mary moved from Woodhaven, Queens, to Huntington to be near her children, Patricia LaPunzina and James Coco, and their families. Mary has six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She is a retired bookkeeper who is active in the Nathan Hale Senior Citizens group and at St. Patrick's Church in Huntington. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, reading, gardening and was an active walker. Mary lives at the Carillon Nursing Center in Huntington, where she celebrated her birthday with family and friends.
