Miriam "Mimi" Magnifico was born Feb. 7, 1914, in Manhattan. She met and married Michael Magnifico in 1932 and they lived in Queens. She was widowed in 1980. In 2006, she moved to Farmingdale to live with her son and daughter-in-law. Miriam has two children, seven grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. According to her family, she is a loving grandmother and a gentle and kind person. Miriam worked at the U.S. Fund for UNICEF for many years. She enjoys adult care classes, music, dancing and old movies, especially silent movies. She celebrated her birthday on Feb. 8 at Bella Napoli Restaurant in Farmingdale with family.
