Mollie Spiegel was born Nov. 25, 1910, in Russia, and in 1921 immigrated to the United States. She married Joseph Spiegel in Brooklyn in 1936, never having to change her last name, and had two daughters (one now deceased) and a son. They moved to Queens and, in 1979, moved to East Meadow to live near family. Mollie was widowed in 1996. She has a daughter-in-law, two son-in-laws, three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She loves to read and play cards and bingo. She worked as a bookkeeper, school aid and cashier. She celebrated her birthday with a party at China Buffet in East Meadow given by her children and attended by family members and friends.Compiled by Darlene Gein
