Centenarian: Nancy DiPalermo
NANCY DIPALERMO was born Nov. 5, 1912, in Little Italy, Manhattan. She had two sisters and three brothers. She married Steve DiPalermo (now deceased) and had a daughter and a son. She worked as a seamstress and owned a candy store. She spent free time with her two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Her family says Nancy is a hands-on grandmother who enjoyed playing dress-up with the kids and cooking. She enjoyed crocheting, making handmade Halloween costumes and ceramics for the holidays. Nancy lives at Parkview Care and Rehabilitation Center in Massapequa where she enjoys parties, pet therapy, music and dancing.
