Paula Cowan was born March 28, 1910, and lives at Atria Forest Hills. She celebrated her 100th birthday at a party with her son, Jeffery Cowan, who traveled from Seattle, Wash., and with residents and staff. Paula was given a bouquet of flowers and a birthday teddy bear. Paula was married to Murray Cowan, who was British. She was a homemaker and mother of two. She lived in Wantagh for 60 years before moving to Hollis, Queens, to be near friends after her husband died at the age of 46. She enjoys exercise, book clubs, discussion groups, music and movies. According to the staff at Atria, Paula has a great sense of humor and looks younger than 100.
