Centenarian: Rosaria Garcia, nee Zappola
Rosaria Garcia, née Zappola, was born Feb. 14, 1911. She grew up and attended school in Ozone Park. She married Anthony Garcia, now deceased, and moved to Howard Beach, where they raised three children: MaryAnn Karow (now deceased), Dolores Shamenek and Anthony Garcia. She has 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. Rosaria enjoys watching television. She lives in her daughter's home in North Merrick. She celebrated her birthday there with family and friends.
