Centenarian: Rose Maffia
Rose Maffia was born March 4, 1911, in Hoboken, N.J. She married Alfred, and they lived in Long Island City, where she worked as a dressmaker, before moving to Port St. Lucie, Fla. She was widowed after 60 years of marriage. Rose has three sons, Joseph, Alfred and Robert. She also has seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Rose lives at the Apex Rehabilitation and Care Center in Huntington Station, where she celebrated her birthday.
