ROSE MAURICI was born Dec. 23, 1911, in Sicily. She married John Maurici in 1928 and had two children, Ina and Tom. They immigrated to America in 1946, settling in Manhattan, and in 1952 moved to Brooklyn. Rose worked as a dressmaker for 30 years. She was widowed in 1966. She is a member of the Our Lady of Lourdes Senior Center, where she enjoys being with friends. She has six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She has lived with her daughter in Massapequa since 2000. When asked what she attributes her longevity to, she said, "Eat well and enjoy family and friends." She celebrated her birthday with family.
