Sadie Liantonio was born Jan. 21, 1914, in Brooklyn. She married Vincent Liantonio and lived in Brooklyn and Queens before moving to Rocky Point in 1963. They were proprietors of the Rocky Point Variety Store until 1976. According to family, Sadie is an excellent cook, enjoys reading and spending time with family and friends. She volunteered at John T. Mather Memorial Hospital for more than 22 years. She also enjoys crocheting hats for newborn babies at St. Charles Hospital. Sadie has five children, Jeanne, Frank, Diane, Donald and Vincent, 18 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren. She celebrated her birthday with a party given by her children at East Wind Inn & Spa in Wading River, with more than 150 guests. She is a parishioner at St Anthony's Church in Rocky Point.
