Sally Garito was born Dec. 2, 1912, in Manhattan. She was a homemaker and raised two children, Valerie and Greg. She has five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Since July 2012, Sally has been a resident of Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Sayville, where she is an avid reader and loves crocheting and knitting. Sally is also an animal lover who enjoys the company of Maureen, the pet therapy dog at Good Samaritan Nursing Home, who visits her weekly. She celebrated her birthday there with family, staff and friends.
