Centenarian: Sophie Stile

SOPHIE STILE was born Aug. 25, 1912, in Manhattan. She had seven siblings and is the sole survivor. When she was a young teen, her family moved to Rockaway Beach, Queens. Sophie wed Charles Stile, now deceased, of Inwood, and lived in Valley Stream for 50 years. They had two children, Dorothea and Charles Jr. Sophie was 89 when she moved to Florida to live with her daughter. Sophie has eight grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. She lives at Palm Garden in Port St. Lucie, Fla., where she celebrated her birthday with family and friends.
