SYLVIA GLUCK, née Friedman, was born Aug. 29, 1910, in Holmi, Hungary. She married Irving Gluck in 1933, and shortly after they immigrated to America. Sylvia and Irving were kosher caterers in Springfield, Mass., and Hartford for more than 50 years. Sylvia was married for 55 years before being widowed. She has two children, seven grandchildren and one great-grandson. Sylvia lives with her daughter Margaret and son-in-law Murray Altman in West Hempstead and periodically with daughter Regina and son-in-law David Abraham in Wynnewood, Pa. According to Sylvia's family, she is a deeply religious person who enjoys reading Psalms and the Bible. She celebrated her birthday at home in West Hempstead with family and friends.
