Centenarian: Vito Loverro
VITO LOVERRO was born Dec. 4, 1912, in Italy. He came to Brooklyn with family at age 6, graduated from high school and went to work delivering beer and soda. He married Virginia, moved to Rego Park and had a daughter, Donna. Vito was widowed after 11 years of marriage. He met and married Genevieve, now deceased, and had a daughter, Connie. Vito lived in Fresh Meadows for 40 years. He stayed physically fit and attributes his longevity to eating fresh fruits and vegetables, never eating processed food and having an occasional glass of wine. He celebrated his birthday with a party at Main Street Italian Bistro in Patchogue. Vito lives in Medford and has six grandchildren.
