Centenarian: William Theodore Peter Rambo
William Theodore Peter Rambo was born March 8, 1912, in the Bronx. He attended PS 47, Friends Seminary in Manhattan, James Monroe High School and New York University. He graduated from Princeton Theological Seminary in 1936 with a theology degree. He was abbot of the Friar Club and did fieldwork at Babylon and Deer Park churches. From 1936, Bill served as a missionary and served the Bellmore Presbyterian Church before being installed as pastor in 1942. Bill was moderator for the Synod of New York, and president of Nassau County Ministers Association. In 1963, Bill became the General Presbyter of the Presbytery of Long Island. He retired in 1977 but is still active in the Presbytery.
