William Treubig, born Oct. 28, 1913, in Brooklyn, was the first son born to Stella and William Treubig. He married Alice Scheulen on Sept. 4, 1937, and lived in Glendale. In 1941 they had a son, William, and in 1946 had a daughter, Alice. They moved to Deer Park in 1954. William worked for Fairchild Aircraft and Grumman, retiring in 1978. After being widowed in 2002, William moved to Holtsville to live with his daughter. He has three grandsons and three great-grandchildren. He has enjoyed boating and fishing for the past 70 years and owned several boats. He's a Mets fan who watches the games on TV. He enjoys going out on his grandsons' boats and going to casinos. He celebrated his birthday at a restaurant with family and friends.
