Centenarian: Eleanore Lerch of Mineola

ELEANORE LERCH, née Liebwein, was born Feb. 12, 1924, in Neuötting, Germany. In 1934, she immigrated to New York City, where she settled in Queens with her family. She married Robert Lerch on June 27, 1943, and they moved to Mineola, where they raised their four children. They were married 74 years. She has nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She enjoys spending time with family, watching the birds in her backyard and feeding birds at the park or the beach. She celebrated her birthday with family.
