For a limited time, Frontier Airlines is offering an all-you-can-fly summer pass for $399 — but it’s best suited for travelers who don’t need to plan far in advance.

The “Go Wild!” pass, which offers access to all of Frontier’s U.S. and international destinations, can be used between May 1 and Sept. 30. Destinations include Puerto Rico, the Caribbean and Latin America, said James Fenner, Frontier Airlines’ vice president of pricing and revenue management.

Frontier offers nonstop flights out of Long Island MacArthur Airport in Ronkonkoma to Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, Tampa, West Palm Beach and Fort Myers in Florida; Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; and Raleigh, North Carolina.

Fenner said the pass is “a great fit” for people who can be flexible with their travel plans. With the pass, reservations generally can’t be made until the day before domestic flights and 10 days before international flights. For each flight, pass holders must pay 1 cent in airfare plus applicable taxes, fees and charges at the time of booking.

Frontier said seats available to pass holders depend on capacity, are limited in quantity and are offered on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. The passes are available at FlyFrontier.com. Add-ons such as bags and seat assignments can be bought when the flight is booked.

Be aware: In an online FAQ, Frontier said that for return travel beyond the booking windows, pass holders will need to “search and book the day before the return flight’s departure for domestic travel or starting 10 days before the return flight’s departure for international travel.”

A new feature introduced by Frontier does allow pass holders to plan ahead and book select flights early, in advance of the standard booking window for travel during the period in which their pass is valid. An early booking fee might be charged, however.

Pass holders can earn miles for both their initial pass purchase as well as travel-related purchases, including bags and seat assignments.

Travelers can book an unlimited number of flights for as long as the pass is valid. Flights are subject to blackout periods. The pass is nontransferable.

Frontier spokeswoman Jennifer De La Cruz wrote in an email that the carrier originally introduced the “Go Wild!” pass in 2022. The airline also offers a yearly pass, currently priced at $599 annually, that can be used from May 1, 2024, through April 30, 2025. A monthly pass costs $50 for the first month and then $149 each subsequent month, plus a $99 enrollment fee.
