Centenarian: Gloria Shackel of Holbrook

GLORIA SHACKEL was born March 9, 1924, in New York City. She had four sisters and one brother. Gloria met her husband Paul while working at Westinghouse Electric in Manhattan. They were married in 1949 after Paul returned from his European tour in the Army. They first lived in the Bronx, and in 1969 they moved to Holbrook. After Paul retired in 1987, they traveled throughout the United States. She was widowed in 2020 after 71 years of marriage. Gloria has two children and one grandchild.
