Reports from county or village police, June 13-20
Four tires and rims were stolen June 14 from a vehicle on Landing Avenue. It was left supported on cinder blocks.
A man in his mid-20s robbed the Crystal gas station on Merrick Road on June 15. Police said the suspect asked an attendant for change of a $20 bill, and when the attendant opened the register, the suspect leaned over the counter and stole all the $20 bills and fled.
A fence at a business on Allen Boulevard was discovered cut June 19, and a 1995 Chevrolet truck and a safe were stolen from the property.
A 1992 Isuzu dump truck parked on Hempstead Turnpike was discovered stolen June 19.
A 2008 Honda Civic parked in front of a home on Front Street was discovered stolen June 14.
A Dumpster at a Starbucks location was set on fire June 17.
A vehicle parked on Bethpage Road June 18 was damaged by BB pellets.
A GPS unit and loose change were discovered stolen June 15 from an unlocked vehicle parked on Bucknell Drive.
A catalytic converter was stolen June 17 from a Hyundai parked in a Long Island Rail Road lot at Sunrise Highway and Hicksville Road.
Sunglasses, $15, a stereo, an iPod and a GPS unit were stolen June 14 from a vehicle parked on Pennsylvania Avenue.
The rear window of a vehicle parked on Skylark Road was damaged June 14 by a large thrown rock.
Merrick
A vehicle parked at Merrick Avenue Middle School was scratched June 19.
Cameras and equipment were stolen from a vehicle parked on Plainview Road on June 17.
Solar lights were discovered stolen June 18 from a South Oyster Bay Road location.
Jewelry was stolen from a Wagner Street residence July 17. Entry was gained through an open window.
GPS units were stolen June 15 from two unlocked vehicles parked on Cotton Court and Lufberry Avenue. An iPod, wallet and headphones were stolen June 15 from an unlocked vehicle on Homestead Avenue.
Credit cards were stolen June 19 from a woman's wallet while she attended a baseball game at Cedar Creek Park on Merrick Road.
Jewelry was stolen June 13 from Hilton Garden Inn on Privado Road.
Tools were discovered stolen June 13 from a vehicle parked on Old Country Road.
A pocketbook was stolen June 14 from a vehicle parked on School Street.
ELSEWHERE
The glass on a side door at an Ascan Street residence was broken June 18, and a laptop, video-game systems, a purse and passports were stolen.
A 2001 BMW vehicle reported stolen March 29 from New York City was recovered June 19 on Bauer Court.
Family Dental Care on Elmont Road was burglarized June 16. A side window was broken to gain entry, and a computer, a monitor and an iPod were stolen.
An attempted robbery occurred June 16 at a residence on Renken Boulevard. The front glass door was broken.
A pocketbook was stolen June 15 from a vehicle parked in the Pathmark lot on Franklin Avenue.
A GPS unit and a radio were discovered stolen June 19 from a vehicle parked in a town lot.
A 25-year-old man was arrested at Virginia Avenue and Oceanview on June 13 and charged with criminal possession of marijuana.
A basement apartment on Ambrose Avenue was burglarized June 18; jewelry and $200 were stolen. Two suspects were seen leaving in a gray Chrysler PT Cruiser.
A Southern Parkway residence was burglarized June 17 and jewelry stolen.
An air-conditioning unit was stolen June 16 from a house on Amsterdam Avenue.
A Salem Road residence was burglarized June 19. A rear door was broken to gain entry; jewelry, $2,000 and a birth certificate were stolen.
A Baldwin man, 22, was arrested June 18 at Mill Road and Sunrise Highway and accused of driving his motorcycle in a reckless manner toward a police officer.
A man and a woman, about 25 to
30 years old, were allegedly captured on security video June 17 stealing 50 bras valued at $2,500 from Victoria's Secret in the Green Acres Mall.
