Bellmore

A total of eight tires and rims were discovered stolen from two Dodge Challengers parked in a locked parking lot on Howell Street July 12.

A vehicle parked at a 7-Eleven store on Sunrise Highway was broken into, and a handbag was stolen July 14.

Tires and rims were discovered stolen from a 2007 Scion parked in a Hynes Place driveway July 17.

East Farmingdale

Windshields on five school buses parked at Acme Bus Co. on Eastern Parkway were discovered smashed July 12. Rocks had been thrown at the windowshields.

East Meadow

A 1994 Honda Civic parked on East Meadow Avenue was discovered stolen July 16.

A 2004 BMW was stolen in front of a house on Cedar Lane on July 11.

Hicksville

A window on a vehicle parked at the Broadway Mall was damaged July 11.

Massapequa

A Seaford man, 22, was arrested on Hicksville Road and charged with assault.

An electrical fire in a vacant store on Sunrise Highway caused about $5,000 in damage July 14.

A gas generator was stolen from a hot dog truck on Merrick Road July 15.

Thefts from seven vehicles parked at Kohl's on Sunrise Highway were reported July 15. Windows were broken to gain entry to the vehicles, and items stolen included GPS navigation devices, an iPhone and binoculars.

Forty hats valued at more than $1,100 were stolen from the Lids store in the Sunrise Mall by two unknown male suspects July 17.

Massapequa Park

A front window on Massachusetts Avenue was damaged by BB gun pellets July 14.

Merrick

A 13-year-old individual riding a bicycle was stopped by six male individuals at Camp Avenue and Pettit Avenue July 13. The victim was told to get off the bike, and then was punched and kicked. The bike was then stolen by the suspects.

The driver's side door of a 2006 Subaru parked on Merrick Avenue was scratched July 15.

Picnic tables located in the back of Chatterton School were broken July 12.

Plainview

Jewelry was discovered stolen from Somerset Gardens Senior Living on Sunnyside Boulevard July 12.

Wantagh

A building at Seamans Neck Park was discovered broken into July 15. A laser printer and computer were among items stolen.

A rear air-conditioning unit at Animal Appetites on Wantagh Avenue was pushed, and a ladder was found leaning against the outer wall of the building July 12. No loss was reported.

ELSEWHERE

Amityville

A Rolex watch was stolen from the bedroom of a Newpoint Place house during a yard sale July 11.

Baldwin

A safe was pried open and cash removed from a Carl Avenue East residence July 11. Entry was gained through a second-floor window air-conditioning unit.

Elmont

Scratch-off lottery tickets were stolen from the Sai Card and Convenience store on Dutch Broadway July 14. The lock on the glass front door was broken.

Franklin Square

The OK gas station on New Hyde Park Road was robbed of $700 by a man described as being in his early 20s who yielding a knife July 16.

Long Beach

A woman, 47, was arrested July 15 on West Park Avenue and charged with criminal possession of heroin and loitering.

Lynbrook

Jewelry and $1,000 worth of euros were stolen from a Lyon Place residence July 11. The rear door was pried open.

Roosevelt

Quick Stop on Nassau Boulevard was broken into July 17, and cigarettes and money were stolen.

Valley Stream

A man armed with a handgun robbed a Shell gas station on West Merrick Road of an unknown amount of cash July 17. The suspect was described as between 28 and 32 years old with a thin build and shoulder-length hair.

West Hempstead

Five male individuals, one armed with a handgun, robbed a pedestrian of a cell phone on Hempstead Gardens Drive and fled in a dark four-door vehicle July 16.
