Nassau County police and their Crime Stoppers unit are seeking the public's help in identifying the subjects involved in a homicide that occurred last month in Hempstead.

Police say that on Dec. 12, Erick Avalos was stabbed to death in front of 26 Cameron Avenue. Anyone with information on the alleged homicide or who can provide the identity of the subjects is asked to call 1-800-244-TIPS. All calls remain confidential.

Suffolk County police and their Crime Stoppers unit are seeking a man involved in a grand larceny that occurred at a plumbing store in Rocky Point.

On Nov. 25, police say an unknown man entered Blackman Plumbing on Route 25A and purchased $2,000 worth of construction equipment under the account of a contractor in Ronkonkoma. It was later determined that the suspect does not have any affiliation with the company.
