A driver pulled into the Gulf gas station on Main Street on Jan. 27, pumped gas, then sped off without paying and with the gas hose still attached to the vehicle. The nozzle was snapped into two pieces.
After a driver rolled past a stopped school bus on Larkfield Road on Jan. 26, another driver walked over to the vehicle, yelled at the first driver, punched the vehicle's window and kicked the door creating a dent.
A GPS unit was stolen from a 2003 Ford on Talman Place on Jan. 26. The front driver-side window was broken.
Fuel oil was stolen from an exterior tank at Hope Funding Group on East Route 25 Jan. 25.
Windows on several vehicles were broken and lug nut wrench locks stolen at Habberstad Nissan on East Jericho Turnpike on Jan. 25.
A Bay Shore man, 21, was arrested at Waldbaum's on Route 110 on Jan. 26 and charged with grand larceny, fourth degree. He charged with stealing a pocketbook from a shopping cart.
A burglar attempted to gain entry to a residence on Cabriolet Lane on Jan. 26 by prying open a window, setting off an alarm.
The tail lights of a 2002 Lexus parked in a driveway on Jeremy Circle were reported missing Jan. 25.
Smithtown
An air conditioner condensing unit located outside the Showcase Design building on Jericho Turnpike was reported stolen Jan. 25.
Police were informed Jan. 25 that, over a period of time, electronic items had been stolen from the Radio Shack store on Route 111.
Cash and DVDs were stolen from a 2007 Cadillac Escalade on Browns Road on Jan. 27. The driver-side window had been broken.
West Hills
Money was stolen from a jewelry box at a residence on Hamilton Lane on Jan. 26. A burglar entered the house by breaking the window of a door.
ELSEWHERE
The passenger-side window of a 2002 Mercedes Benz parked at Gold's Gym on Mercedes Way was broken, and a purse containing a wallet stolen Jan. 27.
Two men were seen stealing the tires and rims of a 2007 Cadillac Escalade parked on Scopelitis Court on Jan. 27.
A man grabbed a can of beer at the 7-Eleven convenience store on Johnson Avenue on Jan. 26 then ran out of the store without paying.
