Cold Spring Harbor

A 1996 Land Rover was stolen from the Cold Spring Harbor train station parking lot on Woodbury Road on May 26.

Commack

An East Northport man, 50, was arrested May 23 and charged with fourth-degree grand larceny. He is accused of stealing a pocketbook from a shopping cart at Waldbaum's supermarket on Vanderbilt Motor Parkway.

A Brentwood man, 25, and a Wyandanch man, 21, were arrested May 26 and charged with second-degree robbery. They are accused of robbing someone of cash and a cell phone at the Howard Johnson Express Inn on Moreland Road.

Dix Hills

The theft of a small piece of heavy equipment was discovered May 27 from a construction site on Deer Park Avenue.

Jewelry, a laptop computer and cash were stolen from a house on Randolph Drive on May 27.

Greenlawn

The theft of a mailbox from a house on Healy Street was discovered May 26.

Hauppauge

Cash from a vending machine at the Sheraton Hotel on Motor Parkway was discovered May 26.

A decorative outdoor flag was discovered stolen May 26 from the porch of a Rose Lane house.

Huntington Station

A savings bond was reported stolen May 26 from a vehicle parked in a Kivy Street driveway.

Kings Park

Plate glass windows were discovered broken May 23 at Tek Automotive on Main Street. Evidence was found that rocks were used to break the windows.

Melville

The theft of cash from a vending machine at the Huntington Hilton on Route 110 was discovered May 26. The lock cylinder on the machine had been drilled to gain access to the money.

Smithtown

Vehicles at the King O'Rourke car dealership on Route 347 were discovered damaged May 24. Car seats, tires and rims were also reported missing.

ELSEWHERE

Bay Shore

A house on Manor Lane was burglarized May 24. Jewelry and cash were reported stolen.

A North Thompson Drive resident told police May 25 that her bank debit card was stolen, and several unauthorized purchases had been recorded to the account.

Brightwaters

The side of a garage on Woodland Drive was spray-painted May 23, and a cell phone was stolen from a vehicle at the same location.
