At its May 11 meeting, the Islip Zoning Board of Appeals:

Bayport: Denied David and Lauren Bessette permission to retain an above-ground pool with insufficient side yard. Granted permission to retain a pool deck and cellar entrance with insufficient side yard, east side of Oakwood Avenue, north of Academy Street.

Bayport: Granted Robert and Eileen Mischo permission, with provision, to retain a second-story addition and an above-ground pool with insufficient side yard, east side of Seaman Avenue, south of Middle Road.

Bay Shore: Granted Alberto Correa permission to establish an accessory apartment, north side of Oregon Avenue, west of Brentwood Road.
