At its May 26 meeting, the Islip Zoning Board of Appeals:
Oakdale: Granted Stephen Flaim and Kathleen Fitzgerald permission to retain a shed and floor ratio and granted two-family, family-use only for a period of three years, west side of Connetquot Road, south
of Cross Road.
Ronkonkoma: Denied Ann Marie Ellison permission to retain an above-ground pool, shed and 6-foot-high fence, and granted permission to retain decorative pond with insufficient side and rear yards and second front yard, southeast corner of Louis Kossuth Avenue and First Street.
Sayville: Granted Leon Petroleum, LLC/Leon Ventures, LLC permission to build a bank with drive-in window on lot with insufficient lot-area width, southeast corner of Montauk Highway and Foster Avenue.
At its June 1 meeting, the Islip Zoning Board of Appeals:
Hauppauge: Granted Linda Citro permission to retain a roofed-over porch with insufficient side yard, north side of Pinedale Road, east
of Sid Court.
Sayville: Denied Michael and Christine Kelly Sarni their application as submitted; granted permission to build a one-story addition and second-story addition with insufficient second front yard, side yard and floor-area ratio of 30 percent, house only, northwest corner of Manton Street and Cleveland Avenue.
West Islip: Denied Kevin T. Diegman Sr. and Andrea Morgan their application as submitted; granted permission to build a second-story addition with insufficient side yard and floor-area ratio of 31 percent, house only, north side of Ogden Road, east of Barnard Street.
At its June 15 meeting, the Islip Zoning Board of Appeals:
West Islip: Granted Kevin and Barbara D. Braddish permission to retain a hot tub with insufficient side yard, east side of West Islip Road, south of South Country Road.
