At its May 11 meeting, the Islip Zoning Board of Appeals:
Bay Shore: Granted Jacqueline Doherty and Cecilia Doherty permission to renew a permit, for three years, for a two-family, family-use only, northwest corner of Brentwood Road and Kentucky Avenue.
Sayville: Denied Dorothy Nietfeld, life estate, permission to leave detached sunroom with insufficient rear yard, and granted permission to retain a shed with roof over with insufficient side yard, and granted permission to retain a one-story addition, and granted permission, for three years, to use dwelling for a two-family, east side of Willett Avenue, south of Tariff Street.
West Islip: Denied Kabro Associates, Inc. permission to extend parking into more restrictive zoning district, southeast corner of Montauk Highway and Sequams Lane, through lot to Eaton Lane.
At its May 25 meeting, the Islip Zoning Board of Appeals:
Bay Shore: Granted Jose Nunez permission to establish an accessory apartment, for three years, north side of Marvin Road, west of Stein Drive.
Bay Shore: Granted Brian Judson permission to build a detached garage with insufficient side and rear yards, west side of Courtland Drive, south of Penataquit Drive.
Brentwood: Denied Raymond Mendez and Nelsa Paula permission to retain a 6-foot fence with insufficient front yard, and granted permission to retain a cellar entrance with insufficient rear yard, northwest corner of Gibson Avenue and Bergold Street.
Fire Island: Granted Eugene and Jean Ufer permission to retain a shed with insufficient side and rear yards, west side of Cranberry Walk, south of Bay Walk, Fair Harbor.
Hauppauge: Granted Joseph Sacco permission, subject to the slope ordinance and engineering, to subdivide lot into three parcels with insufficient lot areas, widths and side yards, east side of Lincoln Boulevard, south of Veterans Memorial Highway.
