At its Feb. 16 meeting, the Islip Zoning Board of Appeals:
West Islip: Granted Roger and Erin Lynam permission to retain one-story and second-story
additions, reconstruct addition to garage and retain a roofed-over porch with insufficient side yard and floor area, north side of Oakwood Avenue, east of
Chestnut Place.
At its Feb. 23 meeting, the Islip Zoning Board of Appeals:
Bay Shore: Denied Dewel Rivera, Sr. permission to retain a pool deck with insufficient rear yard; applicants given six months to comply with pool deck. Granted permission to retain an in-ground pool with insufficient rear yard, northwest corner of North Thompson Drive and South Fourth Street.
Bohemia: Granted Anthony and Stacy Lobello Jr. permission to retain a deck with insufficient front yard and denied permission to retain a 6-foot fence with insufficient second front yard; applicant given six months to comply with fence, northwest corner of Feuereisen Avenue and Seventh Street.
Brentwood: Granted James and Linda Murer permission to retain a cellar entrance and driveway with insufficient front and rear yards, southwest corner of Madison Avenue and Oak Street.
Islip Terrace: Granted Brian M. and Roseann J. Johnson permission, for three years, to renew a permit for a two-family, family-use only, south side of Woods Place, south of Woods Road.
